OQO Visit
Brief Description: OQO introduced the first ultra-portable PC to run Windows operating system, and continues to provide the smallest and most versatile UMPC's on the mark. The OQO combines the power of a full Windows laptop with the portability of a cell phone.
We use the OQO as the main computer of our sub. The ability to run Windows XP has allowed us to focus less on drivers and the mechanics of image processing, and more on the actual implementation. The OQO has also enabled us to take advantage of Windows' Remote Desktop technology, making wireless debugging a simple task. The use of the OQO has also enabled us to miniaturize the sub, as it occupies a far smaller space than other, larger computers. OQO has provided us with countless hours of technical support, and several backup batteries which have been instrumental in our submarine, running the high-level mission control and image processing tasks.
 Amerimade Technology Visit
Brief Description: Amerimade Technology designs and builds equipment as requested by the customers, which are high tech industries from the areas of semiconductor, medicine, biotech, photonics, aerospace, and energy. Some of their products include fume hoods, semi automated wet processing equipment, ultra sonic chemical processing baths, and quartz cleaning equipment.
For the past several years Amerimade has generously helped our club with numerous improvements for our submarine. They built our blue end caps, hydrophone mounting block, and a new front end cap that incorporates a transparent plastic dome for the cameras to see through.

 C&C Group Visit
Brief Description:  C&C Group optimizes company operations by providing advice that makes the client companies more proactive, improves operational efficiency, and raises accountability for delivering on corporate goals. Their clients include Tickets.com, PECO, and Invisalign.
For the past three years C&C Group has generously loaned us two OQOs to use at the competition. These OQOs perform the bulk of our processing, especially image processing. This year, the C&C Group also made a donation enabling our purchase of a pair Seabotix thrusters which is a valuable improvement to our submarine.

HST Healthcare Systems & Technologies, LLC Visit
Brief Description: HSTpathways™ ASC software is the pioneer of the first enterprise capable ASC clinical and financial management software platform known as pathways.  HST has utilized the latest technical innovations in the architectural development of HSTpathways and designed the foundation to be more secure, reliable and scalable than ever before in the field of ASC applications.
HST has supported our club through a generous donation that allows us to procure more parts.

 Advanced Circuits Visit
Advanced Circuits supplied several printed circuits boards which have allowed the team to miniaturize the control and passive sonar system.

Microchip Technology, Inc Visit

Microchip has provided debuggers, programmers, numerous free samples, and development tools and support for our passive sonar and control systems.

FTDI Chip Visit
FTDI Chip provided several RS-232 to USB converters to the club, which allow our main computer to easily communicate with the microcontroller in the control system.

Pleasanton Partnerships in Education Foundation Visit
Brief Description: PPIE is a community based local sponsorship organization that issues educational grants to students and teachers.

For the past two years PPIE has supported our club with generous monetary donations, without which we could not have bought many amenities that make our submarine runs smoothly.
